Shelters & Barn Remodels
Construction methods that stand the test of time.
12x32 Herd Shelter
12x14 Stud Shelter
Farm Charm - recycled side lumber.
We build from old school designs, with a few modern touches.
2x6 T&G Douglas Fir kick walls.
6" or larger posts are set 4 foot deep in wet concrete.
Full size beam construction to reduce front posts opening the space for more horses and less injuries.
Flat-faced design follows methods from the 1800's. This method forces a wind vector down the face pushing the snow away from the shelter in a half circle sweep, keeping the entrance free of snow and ice mounds.
We also allow a wind sweep at the back base of our shelters to dry the space out during the summer months and reduce bacteria. The snow builds up each winter closing off the wind.
Shed-Row refurbish with paddock runs.
